SINGING UP THE PAST
‘When our yearning for food became unbearable, we sang’
75 years after she learned and sang them, Holocaust survivor Guta Goldstein has kept alive a repertoire of songs from the Lódz ghetto that she continues to perform in private. The film charts the songs that sustained her through the ghetto, through Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen, and which will be powerfully performed in the film by the wonderful Lódz Children's Choir.
A film about memory, survival, and the power of music to sustain. To read more and to support the film, please visit our official website.
